Following the collection and presentation practice of Argyriou and Gerodimos, an inter-disciplinary group of artists, along with the residents and local associations of Eleusis worked on creating a living body of collective memory around the workers’ movement and its public claims.
To serve the two parts of the project (procession and installation), we worked intensively to gather archival material from the residents and also conducted oral history interviews on work, workers’ rights and the history of the local workers’ movement.
The visual outputs were 1 digital collage video, projected onto the collective body of participants during the procession, 1 external video installation homage to the workers’ labour, 1 indoor installation including the digital historical collage and 1 video installation with 23 interviews of locals.
